Install Software
- Unpack PEEKxxx.zip
This zip file contains the Natural load file, which in turn contains all of the modules required to run Peek. - Define library PEEK to Natural Security (for new customers)
This is the library that the load file will use to store the Peek modules. It is recommended that this library be made a step-library to any application libraries from which you want Peek to be accessible. - Delete contents of library PEEK (for existing customers)
Existing customers should completely remove all previous Peek modules when upgrading to a new version. It is recommended that they first be moved to a backup library so that they can be easily restored if desired. You may also wish to keep a backup copy of any of your previously generated site-modifiable modules. - NATLOAD PEEKxxx.RLS to library PEEK
This file is in binary format, with RECFM=F and LRECL=252. Load it using the same mechanism you normally use for loading Natural modules. - Create the Peek preferences file
This file is used by Peek to store information about each user's previous sessions. It is not mandatory to create this file, but it greatly enhances the use of Peek and is strongly recommended.AA, A49, Descriptor, Null suppressed AB, A253, Null suppressed, MU field
- Run PKINSTAL
This program will generate each of the site-modifiable modules. Only the first module (PKUSRN01) is mandatory, each of the other modules depends on the requirements of your site. - Test Peek
Log on to an application library and enter 'PK' at the NEXT prompt. When the first Peek screen appears, press PF5 to view the list of DDMs available from the current library. Check that this list matches the files normally available from this library.
